UK Banned Dog Breed/Dogs Requiring Muzzles and Additional Control Measures Policy

UK Banned Dog Breed/Dogs Requiring Muzzles and Additional Control Measures Policy

Purpose

To ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests, visitors, and staff at Three Rivers Pitch & Paddle Campsite, the following policy applies to all dogs that are subject to UK legal control requirements, including exempted dogs under the Dangerous Dogs Act and any successor legislation.

Policy

1. Any dog that is legally required to be muzzled in public must be:

  • Properly fitted with a secure muzzle at all times whilst on the campsite.
  • Kept on a lead and under the control of a responsible adult at all times.
  • Never left unattended, whether at a pitch, accommodation unit, vehicle, or elsewhere on site.

2. Owners must comply with all conditions of any exemption certificate or legal requirements applicable to their dog.
3. Campsite management reserves the right to request evidence of exemption status where applicable.
4. Any dog found off lead, unmuzzled, or otherwise not under proper control may result in:

  • An immediate request to rectify the situation.
  • Removal of the dog from the campsite.
  • Termination of the booking without refund in serious or repeated cases.

5. Any aggressive behaviour, threatening behaviour, or incident involving a dog must be reported to campsite management immediately.

Owner Responsibility

By bringing a dog onto the campsite, the owner accepts full responsibility for the animal’s behaviour and agrees to comply with this policy and all applicable UK laws.

Failure to Comply

Failure to comply with this policy may result in the owner and dog being asked to leave the campsite immediately without refund.
