Our Campsite

Our Campsite

Three Rivers is a family owned business which is managed by myself, Jodi. We have a real passion for the outdoors and strive to preserve the site with wildlife at the forefront and to maintain a beautiful, peaceful, natural spot for people to enjoy. We believe that camping should be an ecologically sound way of holidaying.

This tranquil site, surrounded by water and so much wildlife is the perfect spot to come and relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery. If you are looking to get away from day to day life and enjoy nature then Three Rivers is the place to visit. We are open all year round (weather permitting) and welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents; including families, group bookings, individuals and nature lovers alike.

When you book your holiday at Three Rivers you are getting so much more than just a patch of grass.  Whether you want to cool down in the river on a hot summer’s day, take a lazy amble downstream, explore far and wide on your kayak, mess about on a paddle board, ride your bike down country lanes, walk for miles, take a short walk, relax in a local pub, or just simply sit back and watch nature at its finest - Three Rivers offers it all. We are so passionate about the area we live in and the beautiful campsite we have created with so much wildlife around us. We love our site and we hope that you will love it too.

We are a pet friendly site. Well behaved dogs on leads are most welcome to stay with us at no extra cost and are also welcome to join you on a trip on a boat with us.

Camping guests are most welcome to launch their own vessels here with us at no extra cost. You are free to come and go at a time that suits you. Guests are also welcome to swim from the campsite at your own risk. Please consider all safety precautions and pay attention to tidal information. If you wish to use the floating pontoon that is absolutely fine, but our hire boats will be given priority as they are booked in specific time slots. Therefore, people using the floating pontoon for their own vessels will need to fit in around our hires.

At Three Rivers we strive to provide a peaceful and fun retreat for those wanting to explore the river. We are keen to welcome paddle sport lovers and people who will enjoy the countryside. Everyone is welcome here but please remember we strive for tranquillity so please - no loud groups, noisy children or barking dogs - be respectful to our wildlife and our village.

Whether you prefer electric hook-up or more of a wild camping experience we can accommodate you - although it’s only a hop, skip and a jump to the hot showers and flushing toilets!

We consider our campsite to be a luxurious one with plenty of space as we only take a limited amount of bookings, so no elbow to elbow pitches! Pre-booking with a non-refundable payment is required.

We have 17 electric pitches with 24 hook-up points, as 3 of our electric waterfront pitches can be shared by a group of two units who would like to pitch together (unit size dependent).

8 of our electric pitches have hard standings.

There are 9 electric premium water front pitches and 2 non-electric premium water front pitches which are situated along our private dyke, all with at least 11m of water frontage, where you can watch the paddlers float by.

Following on from the electric pitches you move into the non-electric camping area, we have the two non-electric premium waterfront pitches and one normal non-electric pitch before you reach the more wild camping area of our site.

Our wild camping pitches have all been named after local birds and are located in the long grass area of the site. We have mown circles into the long grass to accommodate at least two units in most of the bays, however Swan Bay and the final premium pitch we have can accommodate more.

At the very end of the site where our private dyke meets the main river is where our final premium pitch can be found. The Premium River Front Pitch is a non-electric, wild camping pitch, tucked slightly back from the wooden jetty and launchway, nestled amongst the trees that line the dyke and is surrounded by the water and is closest to the main river access.

All of the pitches on site come with a picnic table. There are also two picnic tables in the picnic area by the wooden jetty and launchway, three tables outside The Boat Shed and two near the play area which are welcome to be used by anyone onsite. Please do not move the tables.

Here at Three Rivers we boast about the facilities we have to offer, with many customers claiming they are the most luxurious they have used at a campsite. Included in your stay is full use of our floating pontoon, jetty and river with full access to use your own water sports (subject to the small purchase of a Norfolk Broads licence). We provide the ultimate staycation for water sports enthusiasts.

Our facilities building also provides 4 full shower rooms, including hand basins, toilets and showers. In addition, we have 2 WCs. Some reviews have said that they are ’better than the showers at home’! We also have a large undercover outdoor sink for all of your washing up needs.

There are picnic tables on all of our pitches and a couple near the jetty and the boat shed to make your visit more comfortable, and why not hire one of our fire pits to spend an evening keeping warm or to cook up a BBQ? Don’t forget to make sure you read our Fire Safety guidelines first.

We have a fabulous play area for under 12’s to enjoy - please note, children should be accompanied by adults and the park closes at dusk.

To make your stay as carefree and smooth as possible we provide an onsite toilet disposal point as well as grey water disposal. In addition, we have a large undercover outdoor sink for all of your washing up needs. We have 5 toilets in total, 3 of which are shower rooms. These are regularly cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.

If you’ve never camped before or just wanting to try something different, why not hire a campervan? Check out:

There are plenty of places to explore locally, whether you are looking to spend the day by the river, at the beach, the zoo or to enjoy a local walk with a pub lunch, at the River Waveney there is so much to explore and to keep you occupied.

We are very fortunate to have not one but two local pubs within walking distance to the campsite - one of these pubs can even be accessed by boat along the river from Three Rivers. Just down the road a local farm shop can also be found, providing fresh, local produce. More information for these can be found on our Local Amenities” Page. If you would like a longer walk into the town of Beccles you can take the beautiful riverfront route.
